Esta tesis doctoral describe la síntesis, estructura y aplicaciones catalíticas de una nueva familia de calcogenuros clúster trinucleares de metales del grupo seis funcionalizados con ligandos difosfina, aminofosfina y aminodifosfina. El capítulo 1 recoge una introducción histórica de los clústeres metálicos así como sus principales aplicaciones, mientras que el capítulo 2 enumera los objetivos del trabajo. En el capítulo 3 se describen nuevos clústeres funcionalizados con difosfinas y sus aplicaciones en catálisis, mientras que en los capítulos 4 y 5 los ligandos utilizados son aminofosfinas y aminofosfinas quirales, respectivamente. El capítulo 5 muestra, además, una parte importante sobre Química Teórica. En el capítulo 6, se trata la síntesis y estructura de clústeres funcionalizados con aminodifosfinas, con un bloque que describe la reactividad de estos frente a metales de transición. Finalmente, los capítulos 7, 8 y 9 recogen la parte experimental, las conclusiones extraídas del trabajo y las publicaciones derivadas, respectivamente.

This PhD Thesis describes the synthesis, crystal structure and catalytic applications of a new family of group 6 chalcogenide metal clusters bearing diphosphines, aminophosphines and aminodiphosphines. Chapter 1 is concerned with a brief historical introduction of metal clusters and their main applications, while the objectives of this work are provided in Chapter 2. Furthermore, Chapter 3 describes the synthesis of new diphosphino clusters and their applications in catalysis, whereas Chapters 4 and 5 describe the properties of aminophosphino and chiral aminophosphino clusters, respectively. Moreover, Chapter 5 shows theoretical calculations regarding chiral aminophosphino clusters. The synthesis and structure of new clusters bearing aminodiphosphine ligands is examined in Chapter 6, with an important part dealing with their reactivity towards other transition metals. Finally, Chapters 7, 8 and 9 describe the experimental section, the concluding remarks and the related publications, respectively.
