مستخلص: "Personal, Social and Learning to Learn" was set as a Key Competence in 2018 by the Council Recommendation on Key Competences for Lifelong Learning. The "LifeComp" framework provides a common language to describe this Key Competence, which applies to all spheres of life; and can be acquired through formal, informal and non-formal education in order to help citizens thrive in the 21st century. "LifeComp" is a conceptual and non-prescriptive framework that describes nine competences in three areas (Personal, Social and Learning to Learn). The European Commission has developed "LifeComp into Action" to support educators to navigate the gap between theory and everyday pedagogical practices. It provides educational practitioners with a selection of principles, guidelines and research-based and learner-centred teaching strategies to foster the "LifeComp" competences. "LifeComp into Action" is expected to inspire educators, not only as a general guide for their teaching practices to foster socioemotional and metacognitive competences, but also as a basis from which to develop tailored strategies and practices to foster these competences.
