مستخلص: The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore how parents of children with ADHD described their feelings and perceptions about school disciplinary measures regarding their child. While there was research that showed that the increase in discipline among scholars with disorders like ADHD could have been attributable to the overuse of the implementations of the Zero Tolerance Act, it was not known how parents of children with ADHD described their feelings and perceptions about school disciplinary measures regarding their child. Moreover, studies had been completed to discover that more ADHD students had received suspensions and expulsions, but no research existed to explore how parents of children with ADHD described their feelings and perceptions about school disciplinary measures regarding their child. Though there had been studies that had gathered the perspectives of teachers regarding the implementation of punitive disciplinary measures for children with disabilities, still no research had been done to explore how parents of children with ADHD described their feelings and perceptions about school disciplinary measures regarding their child. It was not known how parents of children with ADHD described their feelings and perceptions about school disciplinary measures regarding their child. The completion of this study would provide insight into the following research question. The question is "How do parents of children with ADHD describe their perceptions and feelings about school disciplinary measures regarding their child?" Using purposive sampling, this qualitative descriptive study collected data from parents of children with ADHD who had experienced punitive discipline from their school. Six themes were discovered in order to find out the perspective and feelings of parents of children with ADHD regarding punitive discipline. They included the following themes. Parents' feelings about punitive discipline were that it negatively impacted the parents and children. Parents described their feelings as having negative emotions regarding punitive discipline. Parents felt like they were being bullied and their children were being abused/bullied. Parents perceived that their children were not getting the support that they needed because schools were ill-prepared to support children with ADHD.
