The article focuses on the research expertise among students. It discusses a study conducted with research students in the fields of education and engineering. The study applied a longitudinal approach to evaluate the research skills at different stages of development among the students. The results of the study are explored and suggest that all students go through stages of research skill and improve their skills with more knowledge of their fields. The use of research databases is also examined and the process of conducting the study is described. |
