The article presents a study which discusses development of a chemically defined cultivation and transfection medium for human embryonic kidney (HEK) cell lines. Topics discussed include challenges related to transfection of cells in conditioned media with reagent polyethylenimine (PEI), transfection of cells as per the protocol, chromatographic separation to evaluate the effect of cellular proteins in conditioned medium, and batch growth of HEK host cell showing maximum viable cell density. |
