The article focuses on the study on the ability of the permafrost bacteria Bacillus in keeping the stability of DNA over time. Topics discussed include the several factors contributing to the decay of ancient bacteria such as thermal fluctuations, radiation in the soil, and nucleotide deamination, the materials and methods which involve the isolation of microorganism from the permafrost sample, and the analysis of the stability of DNA of ancient DNA. |
