| Abstract (English): |
This study aimed to investigate the role of knowledge management in the selection of stra tegic alternative to the managers of Saudi's telecommunication companies, and the study been applied on 65 managers working in the Saudi telecommunication companies. To achieve the purpose of this study a questionnaire is developed to measure both independent and dependent variables, it consisted of 35 items; out of it 30 items to measure knowledge management and the rest 5 items to measure strategic alternative, the study instrument achieved an acceptable validity and reliability. Means, standard deviations and multiple regressions used to answer the research questions and test the hypothesis. The results of research findings, including: the level of knowledge management imple mentation in STC is high, and the level of strategic alternative implementation is high, as well. The research also found that there is significant effect of knowledge Creation and storage in the STC managers' selection of strategic alternative; furthermore, there is no significant effect of knowledge management (Diagnosis, acquisition, distribution and implementation) in the STC managers' selection of strategic alternative. According to the findings the research provides a set of recommendations, including: the need to assess knowledge possessed by Telecommunication Company compared to other com peting companies. The STC should acquire knowledge through the use of regional and inter national organizations. Moreover to work on adopting and holding seminars, discussions and brainstorming sessions as a mean to develop a strategic alternative of selection process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

هدفـت هـذه الدراسـة إلـى الكشـف عـن دور إدارة المعرفـة فـي اختيـار البديـل الاسـتراتيجي بشـركات الاتصـالات السـعودية، ً يعملـون فـي شـركات الاتصـالات السـعودية. ولتحقيـق أغـراض هـذه الدراسـة طـورت اسـتبانة وطبقـت الدراسـة علـى (65 )مديـرا لقيـاس متغيـرات الدراسـة المسـتقلة والتابعـة، وتكونـت مـن (35 )فقـرة، منهـا (30 )فقـرة تقيـس إدارة المعرفـة، و(5 )فقـرات تقيـس البديل الاسـتراتيجي، وحقق أداة الدراسـة دالالت صدق وثبات مقبولة. واسـتخدمت المتوسـطات الحسـابية والانحرافات المعيارية واختبـار الانحـدار المتعـدد لإلجابـة عـن تسـاؤلات الدراسـة واختبـار فرضياتهـا. وتوصلــت الدراســة إلــى مجموعــة مــن النتائــج كان أهمهــا: إن درجــة تطبيــق إدارة المعرفــة فــي شــركات الاتصـالات إن درجـة توظيـف البديـل الاسـتراتيجي فـي شـركات الاتصـالات السـعودية مرتفعـة. ووجـود أثـر ذو دلالـة السـعودية مرتفعـة. و إحصائيـة لتوليـد المعرفـة وتخزينهـا فـي اختيـار البديـل الاسـتراتيجي لـدى مديـري شـركات الاتصـالات السـعودية، وعـدم وجـود أثـر ذو دلالـة إحصائيـة ألبعـاد إدارة المعرفـة (التشـخيص، الاكتسـاب، التوزيـع، التطبيـق) فـي اختيـار البديـل الاسـتراتيجي لـدى مديـري شـركات الاتصـالات السـعودية. وفـي ضـوء هـذه النتائـج قدمـت الدراسـة مجموعـة مـن التوصيـات، مـن أهمهـا: ضـرورة العمـل علـى تقييـم المعـارف التـي تمتلكهــا شــركات الاتصـالات مقارنــة بالشــركات المنافســة الأخــرى. وقيــام شــركات الاتصـالات باكتســاب المعرفــة مــن خــال الاسـتعانة بمؤسسـات إقليميـة أو دوليـة. والعمـل علـى عقـد النـدوات والحـوارات وجلسـات العصـف الذهنـي كوسـيلة لتطويـر عمليـة اختيـار البدائـل الاسـتراتيجية.
