An editorial is presented on the aspects of the safer alternative treatment of pain. Topics include the creation of guidelines mandating the use of non-pharmacological options before opioids for pain management in response to the concern over drug overdose and addiction, the various non-drug treatment options such as relaxation therapy, physical modalities, and cognitive behavioral therapy, and how the Doctors of Chiropractics (DCs) are dedicated in controlling opioid addiction crisis. |
