| Abstract (English): |
The Imam Abd Al-Hameed bin Badees (1889-1940) was one of scholars of Islamic reform movement in Algeria. He instituted the basic fundamentals of hope for the launching of Arab and Islamic Renaissance in Algeria and the North African Arab countries. This study aims at investigating the nature of the intellectual system of Bin Badees through his attitudes towards some of the most important issues he was interested in like Sufism, Islamic Caliphate, Arabism, national identity, western civilization, and the relation of Islam to other religions, youth, and woman. This study also focuses on the factors and circumstances that ushered to the development of his intellectual school of thoughts which has great influence on reforming the Arab and Islamic thought process and the possibility to disprove the association of Islam with extremism and backwardness. الإمام عبدالحميد بن باديس( 1889 م- 1940 م)، هو أحد رجال الإصلاح الإسلامي والتربوي الذي غرس بذور الأمل والتحرر لبعث النهضة العربية والإسلامية في الجزائر وأقطار المغرب العربي، وجاءت هذه الدراسة للبحث في طبيعة المنظومة الفكرية للإمام ابن باديس عن طريق التركيز على دراسة توجهاته تجاه بعض القضايا والمفاهيم التي نالت اهتمامه مثل: الصوفية، الخلافة الإسلامية، العروبة والقومية، الحضارة الغربية، علاقة الإسلام مع الديانات الأخرى، الشباب، والمرأة، إضافة إلى التركيز على طبيعة الأحوال والعوامل التي ساهمت في تشكيل هذه المنظومة الفكرية، وبيان مدى قدرتها على الارتقاء بالمنظومة الفكرية لدى الشعوب العربية والإسلامية في مجتمعاتنا، ومدى إمكانية هذا الفكر للتصدي لكلِّ ما يتعرض له الإسلام من اعتداءات، بوصفه دين قائمٌ على التعصب والتشدد.
