Abstract (English): The objective of this study was to evaluate survival and rooting of cuttings and minicuttings of rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora Ducke). Cuttings from juvenile material were collected from the upper third of seedlings with 18 months of age, modeled with 12 cm long, 6-8 mm in diameter and a pair of leaves halved. The minicuttings obtained from seedlings sprout pruned and shaped with 5 cm long, 4-6 mm in diameter and a pair of leaves halved. The experiments were conducted at the nursery rooting in the institute INPA, Brasil, covered with protective screen against direct incidence of sunlight (50%). The experimental design of cuttings was randomized in a factorial outline (2x4), with the factors: two types of substrate and four concentration of IBA. For the minicuttings, was used a randomized design with five treatments (0, 2000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 mg L-1 of IBA) and five replicates with plots of six minicuttings. In the experiment was evaluated the following parameters: rooting percentage, survival percentage, percentage of callus, percentage of shoot and root number, the observation period of cuttings and minicuttings in the nursery was 180 days and 90 days respectively. The results indicate that it is possible vegetative propagation of rosewood cuttings and minicuttings independ on the use of the IBA. However, the minicuttings had higher rooting percentage (88,7%), survival (98%), and shorter time interval of rooting (90 days) in relation to cuttings, becoming an alternative to propagation this species.
