| Abstract (English): |
Patient safety, aimed at reducing the risk of harm and preventing adverse events, has aroused great debate in clinical practice and its effectiveness is directly related to the teaching process in health institutions. The purpose of this study was to analyze the teaching of patient safety in undergraduate health courses according to the scientific evidence. It is an integrative review of the literature, carried out in the following electronic databases MEDLINE, LILACS, SCOPUS and BDENF. Nine primary studies were included, published in English, Portuguese and Spanish, from 2015 to 2018.The results showed the existence of limitations in the pedagogical projects of undergraduate courses, since patient safety has not yet been included as a compulsory curricular unit, being only briefly discussed in the course of other subjects. It is concluded that, despite the limitations, the teaching of patient safety has received support. Its implementation in the curriculum provides a solid training of professionals and a safe and quality care. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

A segurança do paciente, que visa a redução do risco de danos e a prevenção de eventos adversos, despertou grande discussão na prática clínica e sua efetividade está diretamente relacionada ao processo de ensino nas instituições de saúde. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar nas evidências científicas, o ensino da segurança do paciente nos cursos superiores de saúde. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada nas bases eletrônicas de dados MEDLINE, LILACS, SCOPUS e BDENF. Foram incluídos nove estudos primários, publicados em inglês, português e espanhol, no período de 2015 a 2018. Os resultados mostraram a existência de limitações nos projetos pedagógicos dos cursos de ensino superior, uma vez que a segurança do paciente ainda não foi incluída como unidade curricular obrigatória, sendo tangenciada no decorrer de outras disciplinas. Conclui-se que apesar das limitações, o ensino da segurança do paciente vem ganhando respaldo e que sua implantação nas grades curriculares proporciona a formação sólida dos profissionais e a efetivação do cuidado seguro e com qualidade.
