Role of modern technologies as a factor increasing security of using hotel services is nowadays obvious. The open issue remains, to what extent this fact finds confirmation in practice of functioning tourist enterprises. The aim of this article was to assess the level of investment in the development of electronic and computer systems of security in hospitality industry. The results obtained by means of questionnaire in management staff of the hotels in Polish seaside zone, are only partially satisfactory. The will of achieving fullness of comfort during stays in hotels and connected with this increase of their prestige, makes it necessary to engage higher means in development of modern technologies.
