| Abstract (English): |
This research aimed at investigating the role of adopting strategies for excellence in learning and teaching in achieving sustainable competitive advantage for institutions of higher education. The research considered that competitive advantage of educational institutions stems out from the impact that it has on the level of student, employee, and the institution. The research was based on the hypothesis that the development and implementation of strategies for excellence in learning and teaching is an important and vital prerequisite to the achievement of sustainable competitive advantage for higher education institutions. The research adopted the exploratory and descriptive approach by reviewing the theoretical literature, and taking An-Najah National University as a case study due to its unique experience in the field of excellence in learning and teaching. The study found a strong logical association between the adoption of strategies for excellence in learning and teaching and the achievement of sustainable competitive advantage for higher education institutions. This is achieved through providing students with distinguished educational experience, supporting faculty members to enable them to perform according to the desired quality standards, offering a learning environment that supports diversity and creativity, in addition to designing educational activities that promote creativity and critical thinking to all parties in the educational process. The research made a number of recommendations including the adoption of strategies for excellence in learning and teaching, rewarding excellence at the national level, as well as following-up on the competitive advantage of higher education institutions so as to be continuously measured by the institutions of higher education. هدف البحث إلى توضيح ومناقشة دور تبني استراتيجيات التميز في التعلم والتعليم في تحقيق الميزة التنافسية المستدامة لمؤسسات التعليم العالي. واعتبر البحث أن الميزة التنافسية للمؤسسات التعليمية تنبع من الأثر الذي تحدثه على مستوى الطالب، والموظف، والمؤسسة. واستند البحث على فرضية أن تطوير استراتيجيات التميز في التعلم والتعليم، وتنفيذها يعتبر متطلباً سابقاً مهماً حيوياً لتحقيق مؤسسات التعليم العالي الميزة التنافسية المستدامة. واتبع البحث منهج الدراسة الاستطلاعية والوصفية من خلبل مراجعة الأدب النظري، واعتماد تجربة جامعة النجاح الوطنية كحالة دراسية كونها صاحبة تجربة فريدة في مجال التميز في التعليم والتعلم ضمن الجامعات الفلسطينية على وجه الخصوص والعربية عموماً. وتوصل البحث إلى عدد من النتائج منها أن هناك ارتباطاً قوياً بين تبني استراتيجيات التميز في التعلم والتعليم وبين تحقيق مؤسسات التعليم العالي الميزة التنافسية المستدامة من خلال تزويد الطلبة بتجربة تعليمية متميزة، ودعم أعضاء البيئة الأكاديمية بما يمكنهم من الأداء وفق معايير الجودة ، وتوفير البيئة الدراسية الداعمة للتنوع والإبداع وتصميم الأنشطة التعليمية التي تعزز الإبداع والتفكير الناقد لدى جميع أطراف العلمية التعليمية. وقدم البحث عدداً من التوصيات منها ضرورة تبني استراتيجيات التميز في التعلم والتعليم، ومكافأة التميز على المستوى الوطني، وأن تتابع مؤسسات التعليم العالي المعايير الخاصة بالمزايا التنافسية لمؤسساتها وقياسها دائما.
