This article aims to analyze the names of housing estates in the city of Londrina, especially those built under the National Housing Bank - BNH - (1967 to 1986), during the period of the Military Dictatorship in Brazil. From the theoretical reference of Ulpiano T. B. de Meneses, we turn our gaze to the city as a place of analyzes of sociability, an artifact constructed from different interests. In addition, we surrounded ourselves by the concept of memory, especially by Jacques Le Goff, to analyze the names of housing estates and honored personalities comprising memory as an element of disputes. Thus, based on the study of toponymy, we investigate the urban space as a field of study about memories and identities, seeking to reveal the ways in which urban collective memory is constituted, based on the political, economic and ideological interests. Esse artigo tem como objetivo analisar os nomes dos conjuntos habitacionais na cidade de Londrina, construídos sob a vigência do Banco Nacional de Habitação - BNH - (1967 até 1986), durante o período da Ditadura Militar no Brasil. A partir do referencial teórico de Ulpiano T. B. de Meneses, voltamos nosso olhar para a cidade como um lugar de análises das sociabilidades, um artefato construído a partir dos diferentes interesses. Além disso, nos cercamos do conceito de memória, sobretudo de Jacques Le Goff, para analisarmos os nomes dos conjuntos habitacionais e as personalidades homenageadas compreendendo a memória como elemento de disputas. Assim, com base no estudo da toponímia, investigamos o espaço urbano como campo de estudo acerca das memórias e das identidades, buscando revelar as formas com que a memória coletiva urbana se constitui, a partir dos jogos de interesses políticos, econômicos e ideológicos.
