| Abstract (English): |
This study aimed at estimating the efficacy of using Library of Congress Classification on the web (Classification Web) and the impediments hindering its use from the perspective of Jordanian catalogers. Other objectives were to examine the effects of gender, qualification, specialization, experience, and type of university library on catalogers' estimation of the efficacy of Classification Web. A questionnaire including 61 items was distributed among (30) catalogers who were already using Classification Web. Results indicated that catalogers highly estimated the efficacy of using Classification Web, and that the domain of "user interface characteristics" ranked first among the other domains. Results also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the catalogers' estimations of the efficacy of using Classification Web due to the variables of specialization and type of university library, while there were statistically significant differences due to the variables of gender, qualification and experience. Findings also indicated that the most important obstacles faced by catalogers were "lack of user interface in Arabic", "using classification web needing mastery of English language", and "learning how to use Classification Web needing intensive training". تهدف هذه الد ا رسة الى التعرف على مستوى تدني أداء طلاب المرحلة الثانوية في اختبار القد ا رت العامة في منطقة الجوف وأسبابه، وٕايجاد المقترحات والحلول المناسبة، تكونت عينة الد ا رسة من ( 125 طالب اً، و 110 معلمين، و 83 قائدًا تربويًا، و 25 عضواً من أعضاء هيئة تدريس كلية التربية بجامعة الجوف) تم اختيارهم بالطريقة الطبقية العشوائية. أظهرت الد ا رسة أن أهم أسباب تدني الأداء: قلة الب ا رمج التدريبية التربوية المقدمة للطلاب عن اختبار القد ا رت وقصور في متابعة أولياء الأمور لمستوى أبنائهم الد ا رسي. وأشارت نتائج الد ا رسة إلى أن مستوى أداء الطلاب بالمرحلة الثانوية في اختبار القد ا رت العامة كان متدنياً في جميع مناطق المملكة الع ربية السعودية بشكل عام وفي منطقة الجوف بشكل خاص. وأظهرت النتائج إلى وجود في متوسط الدرجات الكلية لجميع أبعاد المقياس المتعلق بأسباب تدني (α = فروق دالة احصائيا عند مستوى دلالة ( 0.05 تحصيل الطلاب في اختبار القد ا رت تعزى لصفة المشارك (طالب، معلم، قائد تربوي، عضو هيئة تدريس) باستثناء البعد "أسباب تتعلق بالإدارة التربوية" [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
