| Abstract (English): |
This study aimed to identify the problems of the parent-teacher councils of the elementary schools of Al-Qa’im city in Iraq and the ways of solving these problems. To achieve this purpose, the researcher designed two questionnaires, one directed to teachers and the other directed to parents. The study sample consisted of (40) male and female teachers and (109) Parents from primary schools for Al- Obeidi residential area in Al-Qa’im city for the academic year 2015-2016. The results showed that the most prominent problems of the teachers’ councils in the elementary educational level of the city of Al-Qa’im from the perspective of the teachers is the lack of the role of parents in following-up their children. But from the perspective of parents, it was the weakness of relationship between some of the parents and teachers which had a significant role in reducing the level of the student's achievement. Among the solutions for the problems of parent-teacher councils is educating parents of the active role of teachers in the academic process, and promoting the confidence between the school and the parents. In light of these results, some recommendations were set by organizing activities and workshops for parents and teachers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى المشكالت التي تواجه مجالس اآلباء والمعلمين في المدارس االبتدائية في مدينة القائم بالعراق وسبل معالجتها، ولتحقيق ذلك قام الباحث بتصميم استبانتين، إحداهما موجهه للمعلمين واألخرى موجهه لألهل، وتكَّونت من أولياء األمور في مدارس التعليم االبتدائي لمنطقة العبيدي السكنية ومعلمة و)109 )فردا عينة الدراسة من )40 )معلما في مدينة القائم للعام الدراسي 2015-2016 ،و أظهرت النتائج أ َّن أبرز مشكالت مجالس المعلمين في مرحله التعليم االبتدائي في مدينة القائم من وجهة نظر المعلمين غياب دور أولياء أمور في متابعة أبنائهم، أ َّما من وجهة نظر أولياء األمور فكانت ضعف العالقة بين أولياء األمور ومعلمين المدارس لها دور كبير في انخفاض مستوى التحصيل لدى الطالب، ومن السبل الكفيلة بحل مشكالت مجالس اآلباء والمعلمين تعريف أولياء األمور بمكانة المعلم ودوره الفاعل في العملية التربوية، وتعزيز الثقة بين المدرسة وأولياء األمور، وأوصى الباحث بزيادة اهتمام القائمين على مجالس اآلباء والمعلمين بتوثيق العالقة بين أولياء األمور و المعلمين من خالل تنظيم نشاطات وورش عمل ألولياء األمور والمعلمين.
