مستخلص: A new species of Straptaxidae, Ptychotrema gelegelei, is described from the Gelegele Forest Reserve, Edo State, Nigeria. The usual palatal fold of the shell that characterizes the subgenus Parennea, is displaced to the basal region. The presence of a basal spiral fold and the corresponding furrow suggest that this may not be a typical Parennea. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
