The aim of the interdisciplinary research in Żagań/Sagan was to recognize the appearance of the former execution place and the various types of archaeological objects and devices operating there. The research focused on the issue of treating the corpses of executed criminals, how they were presented to the public, their fate and the specificity of places used for burials of suicides and criminals. In 2018 and 2019 fi ve research trenches were established, in which relics of stone architecture and numerous archaeological objects were found, including a dozen iron staples, fragments of execution chains, fragments of ceramics and numerous humans bone remains, including 7 burials in the anatomical system. Cílem interdisciplinárního výzkumu na lokalitě Żagań bylo poznání vzhledu bývalého popravčího místa a různých typů archeologických objektů a zařízení, které se zde nacházely. Výzkum se zaměřil na problematiku zacházení s těly popravených zločinců, na to, jak byly prezentovány veřejnosti, na jejich osud a specifičnost míst využívaných pro pohřby sebevrahů a zločinců. V letech 2018 a 2019 bylo zřízeno pět výzkumných sond, ve kterých byly nalezeny relikty kamenné architektury a další archeologické nálezy, včetně železných sponek, fragmentů popravčích řetězů, fragmentů keramiky a mnoha lidských kosterních ostatků, včetně 7 pohřbů v anatomické poloze.
