مستخلص: We present the dielectric properties (dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor) of soils of Moga region at Xband frequency 9.08 GHz as a function of moisture content. Experiments were performed using cavity perturbation method which is best suited for single frequency measurements at low moisture content. Obtained results indicates that dielectric properties of soils were significantly affected by moisture content in range 2-12% (w.b.). It is observed that dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor both increased with increase in moisture content. Increase in dielectric constant is more pronounced as compared to dielectric loss factor in entire moisture range 2-12% (w.b). Block wise dielectric properties of soils of Moga show a little variation. These findings are important specially in remote sensing of Moga region. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
