Abstract (English): In Taiwan,White Roman goose is sold at 12 weeks of age,and slaughter about 14 weeks of age. The purpose of this study was to compare the growth performance of White roman geese under tradition and slate floor geese house. Total of 96 White roman geese 12 weeks of age were randomly divided into two groups: traditional and slate floor group. Each group had 8 pens,ad libitum. The feed intake of the geese under the slate floor geese was significantly higher than geese under traditional goose house (P < 0.05). The feed intake was 242.9 and 202.9 g/goose/day,respectively. Whole period body weight gain of the geese under slate floor house was significantly higher than the geese under traditional house (P < 0.05),146.9 and -21.4 g/goose,respectively. We were conclusion that under slate floor geese house,the geese had higher feed intake and body weight gain,but whole period body weight gain of the geese was only 146.9 g/goose. Abstract (Chinese): 臺灣商業生產肉鵝於12週齡出售,約於14週齡屠宰,顯示肉鵝出售至屠宰前亦為重 要的飼養期,然而此期間白羅曼鵝生長表現相關資料不足。本試驗比較白羅曼鵝在傳 統鵝舍與高床鵝舍下的生長表現。以96隻12週齡白羅曼鵝為試驗動物,逢機分為傳 統鵝舍與高床鵝舍組,每組8欄,每欄6隻,試驗期間給飼生長鵝料,採任食,不限 給水,每週測定鵝隻採食量及增重,以評估在傳統鵝舍與高床鵝舍下白羅曼肉鵝B 至14週齡的生長表現。在高床鵝舍下,白羅曼鵝的全期採食量顯著高於傳統鵝舍的 鵝隻(尸< 0.05),分別為242.9與202.9 g/goose/day,13週齡與第I4週齡的採食量 亦有相同的結果。在增重方面,高床鵝舍的白羅曼鵝全期增重顯著高於傳統鵝舍鵝隻 (P < 0.05),分別為146.9與-21.4 g/goose。顯示高床鵝舍的鵝隻具有較高的採食量 與增重,但試驗全期鵝隻增重僅146.9 g/goose.
