مستخلص: A micropropagation protocol was standardized for the Vernonia amygdalina from shoot tip explants. Multiple shoots were induced using shoot tip explants inoculated on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium fortified with cytokinins (BAP, TDZ, and Kinetin) and auxin (NAA). MS medium containing BAP (4.4 µM) and NAA (1.59 µM) was the most optimal medium with 98.89% of shoot formation. Well-developed in vitro regenerated shoots were transferred into rooting media containing different concentrations of auxins (IAA, IBA, and NAA). 100% rooting was achieved in half-strength MS medium fortified with IBA (4.9 µM), with an average of 20.2 roots per shoot. In vitro developed plantlets were moved to polybag and transferred to greenhouse for better acclimatization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
