مستخلص: CaSiO3:Ce3+ Nanophosphors was prepared by Solution Combustion synthesis, with Calcium nitrate, fumed silica and ODH as starting material. The structural, morphological and luminescent properties have been investigated by Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD), Fourier Transform Infra-red Radiation powder samples (FTIR) and Photoluminescence (PL) studies. PXRD analysis reveal triclinic phase formation. The average crystalline size estimated using Scherrer's formula was 32nm. FTIR spectra revealed characteristic peaks for the functional groups present in the samples. Upon 377nm excitation the photoluminescence of CaSiO3 doped with Ce3+ particles show strong blue emission at 484nm owing to 5d-4f transitions. The investigation reveals possible use of these phosphors in LEDs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
