| Abstract (English): |
The Semiotics Learning Unit (UA) aims to understand the work of the industrial designer from the semiotic event and the meaning of the objects. Thus, it is intended that students reflect from the theory of Peirce and Saussure the importance of theoretical knowledge of the sign for the development of their practice as industrial designers, while the designer is a sign interpreter, but also a builder and issuer thereof. Hence, the semiotic analysis of design objects allows knowing the forms and processes of interpretation that arise between them and man, within a specific context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

La Unidad de Aprendizaje (UA) Semiótica, tiene como objetivo la comprensión del quehacer del diseñador industrial desde el evento semiótico y la significación de los objetos. Así, se pretende que los estudiantes reflexionen a partir de la teoría de Peirce y Saussure la importancia del conocimiento teórico del signo para el desarrollo de su práctica como diseñadores industriales, en tanto que el diseñador es intérprete de signos, pero también un constructor y emisor de los mismos. De ahí que el análisis semiótico de los objetos de diseño permite conocer las formas y los procesos de interpretación que se suscitan entre estos y el hombre, dentro de un contexto específico. A Unidade de Aprendizagem (UA) Semiótica tem como objetivo a compreensão da tarefa do designer industrial desde o evento semiótico e a significação dos objetos. Assim, se pretende que os estudantes refletem a partir da teoria de Pierce e Saussure a importância do conhecimento teórico do signo para o desenvolvimento de sua prática como designers industriais, em tanto que o designer é intérprete de signos mas também um construtor e emissor deles. Daí que a análise semiótica dos objetos de design permite conhecer as formas e processos de interpretação que acontecem entre estes e o homem, dentro de um contexto específico.
