In the years of communism, censorship (and later on, self-censorship) encompassed all areas of creative activity - from literature, theater, exhibitions, concerts, films, publications and prints of any kind - newspapers, magazines. This communication desires to analyze the way the censorship of the Bucharest daily Informatia Bucurestiului was carried out. The period that this article aims to observe is 1966-1974, a period of maximum activity for the puppets of the communist media control - the employees of the Central Press Printing Directorate, those who stopped from the appearance harmful texts to the Romanian Communist Party, made cuts or additions in so many newspaper texts. The article also wants to capture the procedure by which the texts reached the censors, the work on the page of these readers, how 'ready for printing' was obtained, the reaction of media representatives in case of censorship - possible opposition from the newspaper's management team.
