Intra-orbital location of vegetal foreign bodies is rare. These vegetal intra-orbital foreign bodies have different clinical features and lead to dreadful orbital and intra-cranial complications affecting the patient's visual and/or vital prognosis. We received at the IOTA-teaching hospital in Bamako, a young male adult 40 years old, forrecentright eye trauma. The clinical presentation and orbital computed tomography allowed us to retain the diagnosis of a right intraorbital vegetal foreign body with an intracranial extension, which required multidisciplinary care [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

La localisation intra-orbitaire des corps étrangers végétaux est rare. Ces corps étrangers végétaux intra-orbitaires ont des présentations cliniques différentes et prédisposent à des complications orbitaires et intracrâniennes redoutables, capables d’engager le pronostic visuel et /ou vital du patient. Nous avons reçu au CHUIOTAde Bamako, un adulte jeune, de sexe masculin, âgé de 40 ans, pour traumatisme oculaire droit récent. Les arguments cliniques couplés à la tomodensitométrie orbitaire ont permis de retenir le diagnostic de corps étranger végétal intra-orbitaire droit avec un prolongement intracérébral, qui a nécessité une prise en charge pluridisciplinaire.
