Reference was made in this study to the reality of tourism movement and its obstacles in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and one of its most important objectives was to analyze the spatial variation of tourist attraction in the governorates of the region، And to identify the nationality of tourists in terms of their places of arrival and to know the most important obstacles facing the tourism movement in order to develop and maintain the tourism sector in the study area, and to develop appropriate solutions to the problems faced by the tourism sector in the Kurdistan Region so that these solutions will help the Tourism Authority in the region and planners in the future. In order to reach the goal of research and investigation from a hypothesis, the research was divided into three axes. The first axis dealt with the concept of tourist and tourism with a historical overview of the tourism movement in the Kurdistan Region، As for the second, it studied the factors and causes of the variation in tourism movement in the Kurdistan Region, while the third axis reviewed the spatial variation of the tourism indicators in the Kurdistan Region - Iraq, and the fourth dealt with the analysis of the obstacles to tourism movement in the Kurdistan Region - Iraq. Among the most important results that the researcher reached, the Kurdistan Region has a variety of natural and human tourism potentials. In addition, there is a major role for the media on the tourism sector, as the Nalia Arabic Radio (NRT) has affected the promotion of the city of Games )Javi Land (in Sulaymaniyah Governorate. جرت االشــارة يف هذه الدراســة إىل واقع الحركة الســياحية ومعوقاتها يف إقليم كوردستان العراق، وكان مــن أهم أهدافهــا تحليل التبايــن املكاين للجذب السياحي يف محافظات إالقليم، والتعرف إىل جنســية الســياح مــن حيث أماكــن قدومهم والتعرف إىل أهم املعوقــات التي تواجهه الحركة السياحي من أجل تطوير القطاع السياحة يف منطقة الدراسة واملحافظة عليه، ووضع الحلول املناسبة للمشــكالت التي يتعرض لها قطاع الســياحة يف اإلقليم كوردســتان لتكون هذه الحلول عوناً للهيئة السياحة يف إقليم واملخططني يف املستقبل. وألجــل الوصول إىل هــدف البحــث والتحقيق من فرضيته، فقد قســم البحــث إىل أربعة محاور، تطرق املحور األول إىل مفهوم الســائح والسياحة مع نبذة تاريخيــة عن الحركة الســياحية يف إقليم كوردســتان، أما الثاين فقد درس عوامل وأســباب تباين الحركة الســياحية يف إقليم كوردســتان، يف حني اســتعرض املحور الثالــث التباين املكاين للمؤرشات السياحية يف إقليم كوردستان- العراق، وتطرق الرابع إىل تحليل معوقات الحركة السياحية يف إقليم كوردســتان – العراق. ومــن اهم النتائج التي وصلت اليها الباحث يتمتع إقليم كوردســتان باإلمكانات الســياحية الطبيعيــة والبرشية متنوعة، التي يكون لها دور كبري يف تطور القطاع الســياحي ً إذ تم استغاللها بشــكل جيد، اضافة ان هناك دور كبري لألعالم عىل القطاع السياحي، حيث أثر إذاعة ناليــا العربية )NRT )يف ترويج مدينة العاب جايف الند يف محافظة السليامنية.
