مستخلص: In the current era, the presence of vast numbers of solid wastes made of Poly-ethylene terephthalate, Low- density- Polyethylene and massive amounts of plastic wastes accumulated in domestic waste and landfills has become one of the environmental concerns in most regions of the world. As a result of the demolition and re-construction of derelict buildings, highways and infrastructure, the disposal has caused several challenges. The management of solid-wastes is the essence. It is not possible to completely recycle solid waste, but to merely pile it up. If solid-wastes are being effectively reused/reprocessed, the optimization and enhancement of resources can have a severe profound consequence. Such plastic wastes have a detrimental impact on the environment and is a matter of serious concern to the different concerned departments. Despite all attempts to restrict the use of plastic-based products, but still their usage rises from day to day, and hence the volume of wastes generated also raises with each day. This article addresses different aspects of solid-wastes reusability in ecologically building-construction activities, which includes recyclability of solid-wastes, reprocessing of plastic-wastes as an aggregative, and as an innovative type of green-wall, etc. Converting hazardous solidwastes into value-added applications will minimize the environmental-pollution of solid-wastes, mitigate scarcities of renewable energy resources shortages, and bring enormous substantial advantages to the environmental- surroundings, the economy and communal societies. Through experimentation, several efforts are being made to evaluate the efficacy and viability of waste materials to be primarily used in construction (concrete) concerning various strength, workability, ductility and reliability characteristics. The main objective of this review is to provide an outline of the different studies carried out on the usage of waste plastic material in concrete. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
