In summer 2019, egg-clutches typical for Chalcolestes viridis were found on an alder bush in subalpine terrain, on a moor pond in the Allgäu at around 1,737 m a.s.l. At the same time, maiden flights of large Lestidae could be observed, which were identified as Chalcolestes cf. viridis. This constitutes one of the most significant pieces of evidence of the species in the German-speaking area, and it is the highest evidence indicating successful development of the species within its range. The record is discussed with regard to its recent northern expansion as well as its altitude distribution. This article is also intended to encourage the search for the species-typical egg-clutches on each water, through which an occurrence of the species can also be determined outside its flight period. Im Sommer 2019 gelang der Fund von für Chalcolestes viridis typischen Gelegenarben an einem Erlenbusch in der subalpinen Höhenstufe, an einem Moor-Tümpel im Allgäu auf etwa 1.737 m ü. NHN. Zeitgleich konnten Jungfernflüge großer Lestidae beobachtet werden, die als Chalcolestes cf. viridis bestimmt wurden. Dieser Nachweis ist einer der höchsten Nachweise der Art im deutschsprachigen Raum, und er ist der höchste Nachweis von Hinweisen auf eine erfolgreiche Entwicklung der Art innerhalb ihres Verbreitungsgebietes. Der Fund wird im Hinblick auf ihre rezent stattfindende Nordausbreitung als auch auf ihre Höhenverbreitung diskutiert. Dieser Beitrag soll auch zur Suche nach den arttypischen Gelegespuren an jedem Gewässer animieren, durch die ein Vorkommen der Art auch außerhalb ihrer Flugzeit festgestellt werden kann.
