جاءت هذه الدراسة لإلقاء الضوء على كيفية الاهتمام بالفتيات في دور الأيتام بالمدينة المنورة، وتأهيلهن ليصبحن قادرات ومؤهلات على الانخراط في سوق العمل. كما تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى المساهمة في تطوير منظومة رعاية الأيتام في دور ومراكز الرعاية كنموذج مصغر في المدينة المنورة، وما يرافقها من الأسر البديلة والأسر الصديقة المحتضنة، ليحظى الشباب والفتيات الأيتام بالرعاية والاهتمام الكافي الذي يؤهلهم ليكونوا رواد أعمال ومشاريع ومهن خاصة متنوعة في سوق العمل. ويتمثل جوهر هذه الدراسة في: دراسة وتحليل نوعية ونطاق الخدمات التي تقدم في دور رعاية الأيتام، والأهداف المرجوة من ذلك، وما يترتب على الممارسات الفعلية في دور الرعاية، أو لدى الأسر البديلة والأسر الصديقة المحتضنة. وتتلخص نتائج البحث في أن المفاهيم السائدة عن الأيتام تشكل إحدى العقبات المهمة التي تقف أمام تأهيل هذه الفئة من المجتمع، ليغدوا رواد أعمال يمارسون العمل الحر لحسابهم الخاص، مع غياب التطبيق للعلوم الحديثة في البرامج التأهيلية، مع ضعف الاهتمام بالبناء العقلي والروحي في البرامج التربوية والتأهيلية، وضعف الاهتمام بالبرامج التدريبية الموجهة للمشرفين والقائمين على دور رعاية اليتيمات. This study aims to shed light on how to prepare and rehabilitate girls at the Madinah Al Munawara orphanage, in order for them to be fully able and functioning members of the economic work force. This study also aims to contribute in developing orphanages, care-homes and foster-homes as a microcosm in Madinah Al Munawara. Through this, orphaned girls will receive sufficient care and attention allowing them to be business pioneer, leaders in their field, and have the achievable opportunity of varied career choices within the work place. The essence of this study is to examine and analyze the quality and scope of the services provided in orphanages, the desired goals, and the implications of actual practices in care homes and foster families. Post research, this study found that the prevailing perceptions about orphans constitute as one of the important obstacles facing the rehabilitation of this group in society, for them to become business pioneers who practice selfemployment.
