The article discusses the study which compares the immunohistochemical expression of IL-6 in placental membranes of late preterm delivery in women with histologically proven chorioamnionitis with and without preterm premature rupture of membranes. The results indicate that chorioamnionitis has no impact on the immunohistochemical expression of IL-6 in placental membranes of women with late preterm delivery despite the clinical presentation. |
