مستخلص: This article focuses on minimally invasive surgery for different types for cochlear implants. Minimal invasive surgery for cochlear implant is advocated for a better acceptability for patients and a lower incidence of flap-related complications of the procedure. In minimal incision surgery, elevation of the scalp flap using a standard retractor for drilling of an implant recess is less than satisfactory. It is inserted into the sub-pericranium pocket with the malleable blade perpendicular to the plan of the skull bone. The pericranium and scalp flap is therefore elevated from the skull for a distance of 8 mm.
