Abstract (Spanish): Because of mass deportations, a growing population of transnational children is migrating from the United States to Mexico. However, the ethical considerations for researchers working with this increasing population, remain largely unaddressed. This article explores the methodology required to examine parents' and children's perceptions of the children's Spanish learning process after one of their parents has been deported from the United States to Mexico. Special emphasis is placed on ethical considerations to inquire about the perceptions of transnational minors living in Mexico in a narrative inquiry study based on qualitative research. To gain access to vulnerable communities, particularly minorities or marginalized ones for research, different aspects should be considered. Furthermore, this article will provide ideas on how to collect data around a sensitive topic, focusing on minors and their experiences in a Mexican post-deportation context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
