مستخلص: An 11‐year‐old Arabian mare was presented to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Koret School of Veterinary Medicine because of acute colic. During exploratory laparotomy, a segment of the jejunum was found to be necrotic, with a haematoma on its antimesenteric border. The segment was removed via hand‐sewn resection and anastomosis, and the mare recovered successfully. Histopathology revealed intramural haematoma located in the tunica muscularis. Three years later, the mare is healthy, and is back to its intended use as a brood mare. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
