| Abstract (English): |
The study of translation by bilingual female students studying Arabic had not received much attention, especially with regard to the cultural errors that these students made during English-Arabic translations, which resulted in them making mistakes in translation. This prompted the researchers to focus on this area. The main objective of this article is to explore common errors in English-Arabic collocation translation among Arabic students in the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau and identify possible reasons for them. The researchers used a qualitative analysis approach, adopting an evaluation instrument. A semi-structured interview was also conducted among the sample group in order to find out the causes of the errors. The results showed that the students encountered errors in translation collocations, which included lexical and grammatical collocations. Reasons for these errors included: a lack of collocations knowledge, a lack of special books and dictionaries of collocations and an inability to identify an equivalent to English collocations in the Arabic language. This study is extremely important for students of Arabic, scholars, and English-Arabic translators, as it alerts them to common errors in English-Arabic translation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

لم تلقَ دراسة الترجمة اهتماما لدى الطالبات دَارِسات اللغة العربية من مزدوجات اللغة؛ خصوصا فيما يتعلق بالأخطاء الثقافية الواردة ن يتساهلن ْ في الترجمة، وظلل معها مما أدى إلى وقوعهن في أخطاء شائعة أثناء القيام بها، فأصبحن غير قادرات على الترجمة الناجحة. هذا مما دفع الباحثين إلى الكتابة في موضوع يتعلق بهذا المجال. والهدف الأساس ي لهذه المقالة هو الكشف عن الأخطاء في ترجمة المصاحبات اللغوية من الإنجليزية إلى العربية لدى طالبات قسم اللغة العربية بكلية التربية التقنية الفدرالية غسو ولاية زمفرا نيجيريا، وتحديد الأسباب وراء هذه الأخطاء. وقد اعتمد الباحثون على المنهج النوعي في الدراسة، مستخدمين أداتين من أدوات البحث، وهما الاختبار والمقابلة وذلك للوقوف على هذه الأخطاء ومع رفة أسباب تلك الأخطاء. وتشير نتائج الدراسة إلى أن الطالبات وقعن في أخطاء متعلقة بالتصاحب المعجمي والتقسيمات المندرجة تحته، وأخرى خاصة بالتصاحب النحوي والتقسيمات المندرجة تحته. كما أشارت المقابلة إلى أسباب الوقوع في هذه الأخطاء التي تشمل ما يلي: قلة الدراية بترجمة المصاحبات اللغوية، ونقص المعاجم التفصيلية والكتب الخاصة بمواد الترجمة خصوصا العناصر الثقافية، وعدم القدرة على تحديد المكافئ للمصاحبات الإنجليزية في اللغة العربية. وفي نهاية المطاف قدمت الدراسة حلولا تعالج هذه الأخطاء عند ترجمة المصاحبات اللغوية. وأخ يرا، تعد هذه الدراسة مهمة لطلاب قسم اللغة العربية، والمترجمين من اللغة الإنجليزية إلى العربية وعكس ذلك، لأنها توقف هم على الأخطاء الشائعة في ترجمة هذه الظاه رة ال لغ وية.
