The article focuses on a study that used airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) to map the 3D structure of the temperate forest in the Qinling Mountains to evaluate the effects of habitat structure on movement patterns of golden snub-nosed monkeys. It discusses how LiDAR technology can be used to acquire high-resolution 3D structure forest data and integrating animal movement data with LiDAR-obtained 3D structure forest data can greatly improve the accuracy of species habitat modeling. |
