مستخلص: Biomass waste sorghum fiber in this study has potential to replace synthetic fiber for reinforcement polymer composite because of its cheaper cost and environmentally friendly nature. Fiber preparation is conducted with thermal-alkalinization method. The effect of Polypropylene and fibers mixing temperature with variations of 160 °C, 170 °C, 180 °C, and fiber composition with variations of 5%, 10%, and 15% towards mechanical and morphological behavior was studied. The optimum result is obtained by mixing temperature of 170°C and 15% fiber composition that have tensile strength reaching 20.2 MPa and elastic modulus of 547 MPa also at mixing temperature of 170°C and 5% fiber composition have elongation of 36.4%.
