عاش اليهود في ارض كنعان ردحا طويلا من الزمن وكانت لهم صلات من الشعوب التي جاورتهم ومن ثم التاثر بهم وبمعتقداتهم مما يدل على ان للتنوع الثقافي اثر بالغ في تطور الاديان وانفتاحها على الاخر ولعل ورود اسماء الاقوام والشخصيات غير اليهودية في النص المقدس دلالة على ان التنوع له اثره البالغ في الاديان وعلى الرغم من ظهور ظاهرة التعصب والتطرف لدى البعض الا ان التنوع الثقافي وامتزاج الثقافات ببعضها بين تاثر وثاثير مع الحفاظ على القيم الثقافية الاصيلة هو الوسيلة للتعايش في بحثنا هذا سنناقش الاقوام التي اوردها النص التوراتي ودلالة ذلك واثره على أنساقها الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والسياسية والفكرية والاخلاقية والمعرفية وغيرها من تلك التي حوتها تلك النصوص.
