| Abstract (English): |
The study aimed to know the reality of using the school library and the most important obstacles to its use from the point of view of mathematics teachers at the secondary stage in Riyadh. The study followed the descriptive approach, and used a questionnaire that was prepared and arbitrated and measured for its validity and reliability. This is to collect data from the study sample, which amounted to (34) female teachers, representing (35.05) of the study population and they are mathematics teachers at the secondary stage in the Northern Education Office in Riyadh. The study concluded that the reality of using the school library from the point of view of mathematics teachers at the secondary stage was neutral. Among the most prominent obstacles to the use of the school library revealed by the study: the preoccupation of female students About the school library with modern technology, failure to urge parents of students to take advantage of the school library, lack of awareness among students of the importance of the school library and its role in raising their cultural level, the limited range of books available in the school library and their age, the few books in the school library, the density of the curriculum does not help students to visit the school library, the teachers did not urge the students to visit the school library, the students did not want to visit the school library. The study recommended several recommendations, including: the diversity of books in the school library in line with the requirements of the age and its keeping pace with modern technology, and in a way that serves the school curricula in general, and the mathematics curriculum in particular, activating the school library and allocating a share for students to visit the school library, reducing the number of Subject classes at the secondary level so that students can visit the school library, develop curricula and add research activities and thought-provoking questions that invite students to visit the school library. هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة واقع استخدام المكتبة المدرسية وأهم معيقات استخدامها من وجهة نظر معلمات الرياضيات بالمرحلة الثانوية بمدينة الرياض. واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، واستخدمت استبانة تم إعدادها وتحكيمها وقياس مدى صدقها وثباتها؛ وذلك لجمع البيانات من عينة الدراسة التي بلغت) 34 (معلمة، وتمثل) 35.05 (من مجتمع الدراسة وهن معلمات الرياضيات بالمرحلة الثانوية في مكتب تعليم الشمال بمدينة الرياض. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن واقع استخدام المكتبة المدرسية من وجهة نظر معلمات الرياضيات بالمرحلة الثانوية جاء بدرجة محايد. ومن أبرز معيقات استخدام المكتبة المدرسية التي كشفت عنها الدراسة: انشغال الطالبات عن المكتبة المدرسية بالتكنولوجيا الحديثة، عدم حث أولياء أمور الطالبات بالاستفادة من المكتبة المدرسية، قلة وعي الطالبات بأهمية المكتبة المدرسية ودورها في رفع مستواهن الثقافي، محدودية مجالات الكتب المتوفرة بالمكتبة المدرسية وقدمها، قلة عدد الكتب الموجودة في المكتبة المدرسية، كثافة المنهج لا تساعد الطالبات على زيارة المكتبة المدرسية، عدم حث المعلمات للطالبات بزيارة المكتبة المدرسية، عدم رغبة الطالبات بزيارة المكتبة المدرسية. وأوصت الدراسة بعدة توصيات، منها: تنوع الكتب في المكتبة المدرسية بما يتناسب مع متطلبات العصر ومواكبته للتكنلوجيا الحديثة، وبما يخدم المناهج الدراسية بشكل عام، ومنهج الرياضيات بشكل خاص، تفعيل المكتبة المدرسية وتخصيص حصة للطالبات لزيارة المكتبة المدرسية، تقليص عدد حصص المواد الدراسية في المرحلة الثانوية حتى تتمكن الطالبات من زيارة المكتبة المدرسية، تطوير المناهج الدراسية وإضافة أنشطة بحثية وأسئلة مثيرة للتفكير تستدعي زيارة الطالبات للمكتبة المدرسية.
