مستخلص: The present study examined the correlation between parental acceptance-rejection and locus of control, and its impact on moral disengagement among adolescent individuals. Study posited that the locus of control construct would serve as a moderator in the association between parental acceptance/rejection and moral disengagement among adolescents. A total of 188 students from 9th to 12th grades who were enrolled in public schools and colleges in Lahore were selected using a convenient sampling technique. The age range of the participants was between 13 to 18 years, with a mean age of 14.89 and a standard deviation of 1.29. The results suggest that the correlation between maternal acceptance-rejection and moral disengagement was impacted by the locus of control of the individual. However, the possible interaction impact of locus of control on the correlation between the degree of acceptance or rejection by the father and moral disengagement was not detected. The findings obtained from the current study may provide significant insights into the parent-child relationship, particularly in relation to the mechanisms that underlie the disengagement of moral beliefs.
