مستخلص: Since the origin of automobiles, the advancement in security systems is also evolving together with cars, from door locks to remote key ignition the security has been increasing in an overwhelming rate which led to the present security systems such as car alarms, immobilizers, steering locks. These existing systems that help in securing the automobiles are insufficient, as both the security systems and carjacker's techniques are advancing in a manner such that the car security is outsmarted i.e., the loop holes are more than that to cover. Some of the breaching techniques of security systems in automobiles include External Signal Spoofing, jamming and etc... In this paper, thework and approach exist in literal form for the development of biometric security advancement in automobiles. Out of the various bio metrics, the iris scanning system is used in this approach. Since iris scanning is unique, it cannot be replicated easily. It also provides additional strength to the existing security mechanisms. There are many algorithms which can be used to re-enforce or to develop the iris recognition like curve fitting model, canny edge, Doughman's algorithm and etc... The bio metrics are similar to a person's memory which is unique for each and every individual in this existing universe as "No two individuals' metrics get matched". By this approach, the crime rate on car theft would be decreased. Based on the gathered information, we come to know that this model can be improved as iris recognition. It also has few setbacks which can be surmounted in an efficient manner which is hard to compromise. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
