مستخلص: This documentary review article corresponds to the research project called "Management of policies applied to the different levels of education from the SDGs" led by the Cibeles Group of the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Juan N. Corpas University Foundation of Bogotá (Colombia), which in its first stage investigates the processes of curriculum management in the various scenarios of Higher Education in Latin America from the perspective of the SDG, especially from goal # 4, which aims towards quality education. The methodology used was documentary analysis with review of files in various bibliographic sources, including institutional repositories and databases on curriculum management in higher education. The conclusions point towards the empowerment of Curriculum Management as the indispensable strategy to carry out the processes of adaptation and evolution of higher education required in the context of the challenges caused by the demands arising from the phenomenon of globalization, especially from the pandemic generated by Covid-19 and that must be directed towards a constant reconfiguration of the curriculum as a means of creative renewal of the administrative and academic processes of HEIs in Latin America, which must regain its leadership space at the level of higher education at the international level.
