| Abstract (English): | The Prophet, peace be upon him, stated that people share three essentials: water, pasture, and fire, aligning with Islamic economic principles and the UN's 2023 Sustainable Development Goals. Education is pivotal for sustainable development and societal progress. Sustainable education seeks equilibrium between human well-being, economic prosperity, cultural traditions, and the preservation of natural resources. Governments and international bodies are emphasizing organized knowledge, supporting sustainable education, and endorsing non-traditional methods. This approach considers social, environmental, and economic aspects, ensuring resource utilization meets current needs without compromising future generations. The 2030 Sustainable Development Plan serves as the global cornerstone for sustainable development. Sustainable development is not just a scientific idea but a moral and cultural imperative rooted in education, shaping societal relationships. Educational research, employing scientific methods, addresses societal educational issues, enhancing human development and comprehensive societal progress. The research underscores the significance of educational research, elucidates its objectives, and highlights its role in sustainable development. It identifies challenges - economic, social, environmental, political, technical, cultural, pedagogical, and educational - proposing solutions drawn from successful global models, including Japan, South Korea, Canada, and the Netherlands. | Abstract (Arabic): | يقول الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم الناس شركاء في ثلاث الماء والكلأ والنار. وهو. مبدأ اقتصادي إسلامي يتوائم مع أهداف التنمية المستدامة للأمم المتحدة 2023 وحيث أن التعليم هو مفتاح التنمية المستدامة وقاعدة انطلاق النهضة في أي شعب، فإن التربية للتنمية المستدامة هي رؤية تربوية تسعى إلى إيجاد توازن بين الرخاء الإنساني والاقتصادي والتقاليد الثقافية واستدامة الموارد الطبيعية والبيئية من أجل حياة أفضل للفرد والمجتمع في الحاضر وللأجيال القادمة أيضا. لذلك أنه يتعين أن ننظر إلى التربية المستدامة باعتبارها تعليماً ينحو نحو الاستدامة، وهذا النمط من التعليم لا يقدمه التعليم العادي فقط، لكن أيضا قطاعات أخرى من المجتمع، فالحكومات والمنظمات العالمية تركز الآن على تنظيم المعرفة ودعم وتشجيع الأنشطة نحو التربية المستدامة، وتعزيز الطرق غير التقليدية في النظرة إلى التعليم. وقد أوضح البحث أهمية البحث التربوي وأهدافه. ودور البحث التربوي في التنمية المستدامة وكشف عن التحديات في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة وهي التحديات الاقتصادية، والاجتماعية، والبيئية، والسياسية، والتقنية، والثقافية، والتربوية، والتعليمية. ويساهم هذا البحث على معرفة سبل مواجهة هذه التحديات والإشارة الى بعض من التجارب العالمية الناجحة التي تولي البحث التربوي أهمية واضحة في التنمية المستدامة مثل اليابان وكوريا الجنوبية كندا وهولندا.
