| Abstract (English): | Taking the proposal of Marc Ferro, Pierre Sorlin and Robert Rosenstone, we will analyze the film The Battle of Algiers, by Gillo Pontecorvo, as a historiographical discourse. Taking into account that the article that we want to develop here comes from the area of history, we want to point out that the film The Battle... can not only be taken as a source of an era, but also as a historiographical production, which, using the language of cinema, produced a discourse close to the nationalist historiography of the 1950s and 1960s, but which also continues to dialogue with historical works produced in more recent years. | Abstract (Spanish): | Tomando la propuesta de Marc Ferro, Pierre Sorlin y Robert Rosenstone, se buscará analizar a la película La batalla de Argel, de Gillo Pontecorvo, como discurso historiográfico. Teniendo en cuenta que el artículo que aquí se quiere desarrollar proviene del campo de la historia, queremos señalar que el film La Batalla… no sólo puede ser tomado como fuente de una época, sino también como producción historiográfica, que, utilizando el lenguaje del cine, produjo un discurso cercano a la historiografía nacionalista de las décadas de 1950 y 1960, pero que también sigue dialogando con trabajos históricos producidos en años más recientes. | Abstract (Portuguese): | Tomando a proposta de Marc Ferro, Pierre Sorlin e Robert Rosenstone, buscaremos analisar o filme A batalha de Argel, de Gillo Pontecorvo, como discurso historiográfico. Levando em conta que o artigo que aqui pretendemos desenvolver é do campo da história, queremos pontuar que o filme La Batalla... não pode ser tomado apenas como fonte de uma época, mas também como produção historiográfica, que, utilizando a linguagem do cinema, produziu um discurso próximo à historiografia nacionalista dos anos 1950 e 1960, mas que também continua dialogando com obras históricas produzidas em anos mais recentes.
