مستخلص: A 41-year-old woman experienced acute liver failure while taking progesterone and withania-somnifera as supplementation therapy. She had a history of papillary thyroid cancer and thyroidectomy, but no personal or family history of liver disease. The woman had been feeling unwell after her thyroid surgery and started taking withania-somnifera and progesterone. Despite discontinuing the supplements, her symptoms persisted and she developed jaundice, early satiety, and fatigue. She was eventually diagnosed with acute liver injury due to progesterone and withania-somnifera and underwent a successful liver transplant. After the transplant, she had a full recovery and returned to her normal life. [Extracted from the article]
