مستخلص: Objectives: This study aims to highlight the different dimensions of development through university administration and propose solutions and ideas that help develop the outcomes of those dimensions and link them to development. Methods: The narrative and analytical approach was followed in the research to reach the conclusion and recommendations that would achieve the desired benefits. Results: The study is concluded with a set of results, namely the weak alignment between the various dimensions of development and the lack of linking them to social aspects, such as the human values of our societies, for example, as well as the lack to some extent of a qualified administrative apparatus, which would eliminate the quality of educational and administrative processes and the development potential as a whole. And also the shortcomings in marketing the results of scientific research economically. Conclusions: The study recommended the establishment of national plans and objectives to link the dimensions of development (administratively and economically) within specific priorities. It also suggested involving the industrial community in the economic marketing of scientific research, each in its field. The concept of economic marketing of research should be meaningful to the beneficiaries rather than focusing solely on production quantity. Higher education institutions should have a high responsiveness to meeting the diverse needs of society rather than just increasing output without connecting it to societal needs and development necessities.
