مستخلص: In drifting racing, the most common thing is a crash from the side of the car. Car crashes with side impacts have a more severe impact on passengers and drivers than all other types of accidents. Roll cage design can be applied and developed on various other car characteristics: drifting car. The goal is to develop not only the best performance vehicle but also a robust and economical vehicle frame that meets all design requirements. This study aims to determine the strength of the roll cage on drifting specification cars with several variations of the roll cage design using the finite element method with the help of ANSYS R19 software. The results of this study can be concluded from several variations of the roll cage to get different simulation results. Based on the von misses analysis results, the variation of form C became the variation with the highest stress value of 690,425 MPa. In comparison, variation A became the smallest stress value of 545.2 MPa, with the safety factor value for each variation of 0.495 for variation A, 0.430 on variation B, and 0.350 on variation C. These results conclude that the roll cage variation A is the variation that is considered the strongest, supported by several factors that affect the results, such as the number of connections and assumptions used in the analysis.
