مستخلص: The tetravalent Si doped α-Fe2O3 system with composition Fe1.94Si0.06O3 has been prepared by mechanical alloying and heat treated at 550°C. Microstructure of the sample has been characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) pattern and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). XPS analysis indicated the presence of Fe ions in the +2, +3 states and Si in +4 state. The magnetic field dependence of magnetization (M-H loop) measurements at 10 K and 300 K indicated typical canted ferro/antiferromagnetic properties of the sample. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
