مستخلص: This article, published in the Journal of Neurological Surgery, discusses the establishment of a patient-derived organoid culture model of olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB). ONB is a rare malignant tumor that arises from the olfactory epithelium, and current therapeutic approaches have not significantly improved survival rates. The lack of pre-clinical or culture models has hindered the development of new treatment strategies. The researchers successfully established ONB organoids derived from two tumors, which maintained the cellular heterogeneity observed in the original tumor samples. These organoids may facilitate drug screens and experimental manipulation in ONB research. [Extracted from the article]
