مستخلص: An innovative anticaries agent known as silver diamine fluoride (SDF) has gained popularity among dentists. SDF most recently attracted the attention of researchers and clinicians globally owing to its effectiveness in arresting the progression of carious lesions apart from preventing the development of further new carious lesions. Apart from this, it has a pivotal role to play in management of dentinal hypersensitivity, disinfection of root canal, and management of molar incisor hypomineralization. It has a combination of silver's antibacterial and fluoride's remineralizing properties. Disadvantages include black discoloration of teeth, metallic taste, and need for more appointments. This noninvasive approach is the treatment of choice among dentists for dealing with uncooperative children and children with special health-care needs since it is simple and quick to use.
