In this issue of "Nachrichten aus der Chemie" (News from Chemistry), various topics are covered. A study by the Chinese Tianjin University examines the influence of reactive oxygen species (ROS) on proteins. Another study describes the development of a data analysis tool called TOF-SPI for the analysis of multi-element nanoparticles. Additionally, a polymer is introduced that decomposes after mechanical stimulation, offering the possibility of solvent-free degradation of polymers. Other topics include the modulation of polymer properties through tempering, the production of alkali metal hydrides from hydroxides, and a method for determining the content of formaldehyde in nitric acid solution. Finally, the production of α-pentafluorosulfanyl-enamines as lipophilic pentafluorosulfanyl group in active substances is described, as well as the investigation of plastic additives in household dust and air samples from southern China. In dieser Ausgabe der "Nachrichten aus der Chemie" werden verschiedene Themen behandelt. Eine Studie der chinesischen Tianjin-Universität untersucht den Einfluss von reaktiven Sauerstoffspezies (ROS) auf Proteine. Eine andere Studie beschreibt die Entwicklung eines Datenauswertewerkzeugs namens TOF-SPI für die Analyse von Multielement-Nanopartikeln. Zudem wird ein Polymer vorgestellt, das sich nach mechanischer Stimulation zersetzt und so die Möglichkeit bietet, Polymere lösungsmittelfrei abzubauen. Weitere Themen sind die Modulation der Eigenschaften von Polymeren durch Tempern, die Herstellung von Alkalimetallhydriden aus Hydroxiden und eine Methode zur Bestimmung des Gehalts an Formaldehyd in salpetersaurer Lösung. Schließlich werden die Herstellung von α-Pentafluorosulfanyl-Enaminen als lipophile Pentafluorosulfanylgruppe in Wirkstoffen beschrieben, sowie die Untersuchung von Kunststoffadditiven in Hausstaub und Luftproben aus Südchina.
